and decrease relapse. Among these agents, baclofen is a relatively safe and
effective agent (devoid of hepatotoxicity) in advanced cirrhosis, and is the
most preferred mode of treatment.

In Indien wurde 2009 auch schon eine erste, offene Vergleichsstudie Baclofen vs Acamprosat über 3 Monate mit signifikanter Überlegenheit von Baclofen durchgeführt (Suvendu Mishra & al.) - trotz Unterdosierung (30mg p.d.). Das Abstract ist in Baclofen-Wiki verfügbar.
